Helen Keller Festival

The annual Helen Keller Festival is today through Sunday in Tuscumbia. A parade begins at 6 p.m. today on Main Street, followed by a street dance and block party at 7 p.m. Music today on Main Street includes a concert by Shane Baker at 7 p.m. and Archie Hubbard at 7:45 p.m. Performing Friday in Spring Park will be: Matthew Craig, 6:30 p.m.; Lenny LeBlanc, 7:30 p.m.; and The Shooters, 9 p.m. Saturday concerts in Spring Park include: Hairy Knuckles, 1 p.m.; Little Elvis, 2 p.m.; The Wildwood Ruminators, 3 p.m.; McKenzie Lockhart, 4 p.m.; 3 Lanes Crossing, 5 p.m.; Angela Hacker and James LeBlanc, 6 p.m.; Paul Thorn, 7:30 p.m.; and Jimmy Wayne, 9 p.m. On Sunday, it's Three on a String at 1 p.m. and LeFevre Gospel Quartet at 2:30 p.m. The Festival of the Arts in Spring Park is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $3 for Spring Park events Friday and Saturday. Exhibits at the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art include the Watercolor Society of Alabama's 70th National Exhibition and the Helen Keller Art Show of Alabama. Admission to the museum is free 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 1-3 p.m. Sunday. The festival also includes tours, sporting events, car shows, storytelling and more. Archie Hubbard entertains today at McGraw's Coffee House, 108 N. Court St., Florence. Other performers include: Tosha Hill on Friday and Jacob Lovell on Wednesday. All performances are noon to 1 p.m.

The KGB — Kerry Gilbert, Randy Kimbrough, Mitchell Curtis, Shane Goodson and Hugh Banks — take the stage 6-8 p.m. today at Good Springs Fish and More, 17901 U.S. 43 North, Russellville.
